DWOLLA TO LAUNCH WEBSITE DECEMBER 1, 2009 IN IOWA

DES MOINES, IA – Dwolla, a new payment processing network, will be launching it’s website on December 1, 2009 in Des Moines Iowa.

http://www.dwolla.com is a new payment network that will change the way businesses exchange money online. The sites new payment network can cut costs currently being charged by other providers. Dwolla uses a $0.25 max transaction cost on all money transfers, instead of the standard 2-5% fee. Dwolla is designed to handle any size of transaction and utilizes innovative technology that can be integrated into a plethora of payment devices.

“We have been testing the site for the last 15 months and are ecstatic to open it up to the public,” said Ben Milne, the founder and current CEO at Dwolla. “Dwolla has great potential and Des Moines is the perfect place to launch the site.”

The company is limiting their release to the state of Iowa, but has plans to systematically offer the service nationwide. Signing up for an account is free, and all money used through the site is protected through the FDIC and NCUA.
