Swagbucks Integrates Dwolla For Payouts

This is part of a series called “Integration Highlights.” In this series, we highlight entrepreneurs and projects that use Dwolla to create new experiences, ideas and possibilities. You can find this story and others on Dwolla’s Pinterest board. Enjoy!

Exciting news from Dwolla: more and more companies are integrating Dwolla for bulk payouts.

Companies are paying up to 2,000 people at a time (or more by request) by simply uploading a CSV to our MassPay tool or by integrating the MassPay API. Compared to expensive money wire services or writing and sending thousands of paper checks (and waiting for them to be cashed), using Dwolla for bulk payouts can save meaningful time and money.

The latest is Swagbucks, which went live with Dwolla last night. Swagbucks users can now cash out via Dwolla.

Not only that, but Swagbucks has made the deal for Dwolla users super sweet, by letting you trade in 450 Swag Bucks for $5 in the Rewards Store, and by letting you buy into a $100 Dwolla Swagstakes for only 7 Swag Bucks. If you aren’t a Dwolla user yet, sign up via their referral link and earn 20 Swag Bucks instantly.

  • Disappointed by limitations

Apparently the $5 for 450 Swagbucks is limited to one per account. That’s a shame. Paypal is unlimited, so I think that I will just have to continue using Paypal instead of Dwolla.

I’m sorry to hear that. We hope to win your business back in the future!

  • Seby

I’ve been a paypal user for a decade…but when I gave dwolla a try I can tell there’s really a big difference!! good job guys!!!

      Thanks, Seby!

I too will stick with using Paypal as I do not wish to reveal my SSN online and Paypal doesn’t require this but Dwolla does :(

    • CaityJones

We hope to change your mind in the future! Dwolla requires SSN verification because we work so closely with financial institutions, and we abide by some of the same federal regulations that they do. Dwolla at swagbucks is useless atm, price went from 450, to 400 now back to 500 and its still limited. ive been harassing them to remove the limit so i can get my money out via dwolla. ive had to look into paypay as a result. HOWEVER, to get “verified” with paypal it requires you link your BANK ACCOUNT or get a PayPal Credit Card(they also pull your credit). i failed to qualify and they didnt say why. Atm swagbucks is proving to be a waste of my time. i cant get my money out in any meaningful way, i dont want pizzahut giftcards, i cant buy stuff online with them Lol.

Please complain vary loudly at swagbucks to remove the dam limit they have in place. i cant for the life of me figure out why they would want to pay the fees to paypal when they dont have to with dwolla.
