It’s Meetup Time!

Dwolla is celebrating our second anniversary of going national on December 1st of this year, and we would like you to join us for a good old-fashioned meetup at Vaudeville Mews! On top of that, Christopher the Conquered has a show in the Mews right after if you’d like to stick around.

This is a celebration to honor and thank friends, family, customers, businesses, mentors and the community for being there with us and for us as we’ve evolved and worked our way towards where we are today.

The Dwolla platform has changed significantly over the past two years. We were out to build a network and we are becoming one. You don’t have to only go to Dwolla.com anymore, you can find us baked into other platforms. Built to save people money, developers and entrepreneurs have taken the Dwolla network and shaped it in a way that fits the needs of their own customers.

You can find us with companies like Ion Rewards, ShopKeep, PayTap, mFoundry, Change, GetAmbassador and GetExec. These are the places that our product lives and breathes and does amazing things that we didn’t build. An entire suite of products that utilize the Dwolla network are available to customers everywhere, while businesses are keeping more of their own money. We couldn’t be happier.

    How about instead of throwing parties you figure out how to be more like paypal? why should I use Dwolla if I have to wait a week to add money to my dwolla balance?

        Well, I gave my suggestion to use either Greendot MoneyPak (something Paypal already using successfully) or the Netspend Load Cards that could allow users to add funds instantly to their Dwolla accounts. Since these are cash transactions, it fits the Dwolla premise of not using plastic.

    When do you guys go international, lets say India which gets the maximum outbound payments from thwe west

      We have to build out the product and the team so that when we are able to go international, we are doing it right and are able to support our new customers to the best of our ability. Right now we have no timeline as to when we will go international, but it is something that we plan on doing in the future.

      I work with a non profit charity in Egypt and would love to see a product like this available there for our donors to use. Right now we rely on Western Union which is expensive and inconvenient.

      We would love to hear your suggestions. Dwolla is always in the process of working to improve pain points in our system, and getting helpful feedback from our customers is always welcome and influences these improvements.
