Iowa is growing Dwolla

After 1 week live in Iowa. Dwolla has 10x more users than we had projected for the entire first month. We are very happy.

How do we know Iowa is responsible for this? We watch the traffic. We also know our users.

59.45% of Dwolla’s traffic is from within the state of Iowa. Iowa is represented by the blue in this wheel.

Why is this important to us? Very simply. Dwolla is only available for full use in Iowa. We’ve done a lot of due diligence at targeting our efforts inside of Iowa. For now it seems like growing awareness in Iowa has been largely successful. We’re serving the area who is accessing the web site most.

This means we are reaching our audience.

The  reason this has worked is becuase of the reception we have received in the Iowa business community. Thank you for everyone for making Dwolla’s first week a smashing success.

I had only one person tell me Iowa was the wrong place to launch as our first state. I disagreed then and I disagree now.

Iowa’s support slaughtered projections so laughably that I can’t help but think we made the right choice.

In other news.

We’ve had a lot of requests for :

• An overview of the user interface and features upon registration.
• Modifications during the registration process.
• Make live support easier to locate.
• Listing of businesses who use / accept Dwolla as a payment form.

We are listening to the feedback you are sending in.  As this month progresses we will be sure to share the modifications we make.
