#Dwollapalooza

Dwolla is not your average work environment, but don’t let the jeans, music, and whiteboards fool you. We put in long hours in a high-intensity, fast paced atmosphere that is only comparable to what I assume a black hole feels like.

But we do it, because if we didn’t we’d feel incomplete.

Everyone needs a break, a time to dim the internal lights a bit and decompress, even if it’s only for an hour. That’s why we decided to hold an impromptu Dwollapalooza last night. Thanks to Zaarly, around 1:00pm we got an offer from a local community member saying that they’d be happy to play. It was Jason Walsmith of our beloved Nadas.

What may have been just an hour to many, felt like a lifetime to us. Thank you to the 20+ people that dropped by and joined us in our little mental vacation.

Special thanks to the Zaarly crew (way to knock it out of the park yesterday), Geoff Wood and Silicon Prairie for writing up the event in a blog post and of course The Nadas. Be sure to check out their July performance, presented by Tikly.co!

Now it’s back to work.
