By: Ben Milne,

Wow, it’s been a busy 48 hours. Along with being profiled in a few nice places, we saw our largest user adoption, ever. Page views and unique visitors, retweets and mentions, posts and comments, just about everything went through the roof and we have a slight suspicion that we have you to thank.

To get an idea of what business have adopted Dwolla Spots and are already up and running this image (and link) will give you a great idea:

Sure some of you knew about Spots since March 2nd, but some didn’t. In fact, there are many of you we’ve just met in the last 48-hours and to those individuals, we say, “Hi.” Anyway, we thought we’d post some of our favorite comments here to help celebrate the last two days of Spots.

In case you’ve been living under a rock, that last one is from Zaarly co-founder, Bo Fishback. Zaarly made some pretty huge waves at SXSW and showed Ben (our CEO), from what I understand, a heck of a good time. The newly minted company won Startup Weekend LA only 4 weeks ago and is now backed by Iowa’s own Ashton Kutcher. The premise is as simple as it is awesome: a proximity-based, real-time market where buyers declare what they want and the price they’d be willing to pay for it. Checkout their video interview on TechCrunch.

We here at Dwolla support any startup looking to localize and disrupt the status quo. With that said, Zaarly is rolling out on a city-by-city basis, so don’t go running to your respective app markets just yet. What we will say is this, “Bo, if you’re looking for a great place to beta test your paltform, Des Moines is  heck of a city.”
